How do I remove the AIR system?
I first started by removing the tubes and check valves that come off of the headers, and then installed the block off plates. Just follow the big tubes around the engine bay, and remove all of them.
I then jacked up the car, and opened up the panel in front of the driver side front tire. I think there are 2 10mm screws holding the panel closed. Once the panel is open, you can see the AIR pump and some wires. Remove the 4 screws holding the pump and bracket to the engine bay. The pump should slide right out. I think there were also 1 or 2 electrical connectors in there, but I do not remember if I unplugged them before or after I removed the 4 bolts.
This really is an extremely simple mod, just look for the air tubes and remove everything that they connect to.

Removing AIR is not a performance thing, it's about removing weight and making it easier to change plugs.

<strong>besides weight, it removes clutter from the engine compartment. Might as well remove the EGR at the same time, all you need is block off plates for that also, and then you can clear both codes with Auto-Tap. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Everytime you drive? hehe...
