Most of the times I've seen fitment problems.. it's been do to a couple things. 1) not installed properly (more common than you think). 2) A raised lower airbox. 3) Fernco Mod.
Basically, your going to hear 10 different opinions on each of these lids, everyone will come up with 10 reason why "they're" lid is better. In all truthfullness.. they all are pretty close.. go with the one you like best.
I personnally don't think you can go wrong with ethier of the lids you mentioned.

Re: which lid has better fit I tried two Whispers, a Direct Flo, and an MTI lid on my T/A, and the MTI fit the best, by far, for me. They all rubbed the top of my hood, FWIW, with the WS-6 lower airbox and Suncoast Raptor hood. Both of my Whispers fell apart, and the Direct Flo didn't fit too well. The MTI lid held up great and fit excellent. I'm running an MTI lid on my SS w/ no rubbing problems.

Re: which lid has better fit I've had Whisper, and now the MTI. Fit is good on both, but the Whisper is pretty fragile - breaks apart in the neck area. The MTI seems much sturdier. Plus you can't beat the looks... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
