Hey guys. I bought an SLP Loudmouth from our local speedshop who had it in stock. He told me it was $349 which is what SLP sells them for. Well, he says it would be $100-125 for installation. Well, when the car was done my bill was at $600. They had to cut out the back of my rear valence (I have the RS kit), where the exhaust tips go. Granted it looks badass, but I wanna know if I got ripped off. I know I could have done it myself, but they said it wouldnt use the stock hangers - and it did. So, Im kinda disappointed I had to drop $600 into my exhaust, then $80 to use their dyno. It pulled impressive numbers and sounds awesome.

I paid $500 for my SLP LTH this was just for the headers ALONE. I would say you paid a fair price and did not get pipped off. They are a lot of work to install it took 8 hours for the guy to install mine. I say don't think about the money know you can't do anything about it. Just enjoy the new headers.

and yes 250 dollars for install is a frickin rip off! I had my muffler guy put my 2OTL on my car for $30 bucks!

If it is the factory ground effects / facia extensions you have - then no, you do not need to 'cut' them.

I have the Sports Appearance Package on my 2000 Z28 and there is NO need to modify or cut into the groudeffects when installing the SLP LM or any cat-back system for that matter. And it only cost me $45 to have my old LM installed.

I paid $125 to have my loudmouth installed. Why $125? They had to mate it to my center exhaust and re-adjust my Y-pipe to get rid of the banging from my LTs'.

It ended up costing $250 for the install. It fit perfectly and used the existing hangers. But, they did have to got the rear fascia to get the tips on. The pipes could have remained behind but then you'd only hear it, not see it. So, we had the GFX cut, it doesnt look bad at all. I just knew I got ripped off. LOL. Oh well, Ill get my credit card bill later.

None the less it does sound like you paid to much for the install. When i seen SLP I though headers it was early when I read it.

I paid $314 for mine. I installed it myself with a jackstand, hand tools and a saws all. Hell, if I were to do it for someone, I would charge $50 at most.
