Get a new set of GM metal gaskets. Also a good 10mm gear wrench will be your best friend during a header install.

Thank you I try and help... How did the install go? As I recall your car was kinda moving out good already before the headers (or maybe I'm mistaken), any new track times?

Not needed, clean up your factory ones if you want.

Mine "came out" but a few oil changes later I found a nice 2" piece find its way out of the drain port on the pan... wonderful.

Get some NGK TR-55s, make sure you check the gap on them and it should be at .05-.055. This is important because the engine is very sensitive to spark plugs and make sure they are in all the way and on tight but careful not the crack um.

i'd say go ahead and get some Bosch 13111 corvette o2 sensors...to use as your front sensors(wont need extensions)....btw go ahead and delete AIR and EGR while you're at it....also suggest having the back passenger sparkplug in before you put the header in

if i put the plugs in before i install the headers dont i have a better chance at cracking one of the plugs or is there enough clearance to safly get around them.

I put mine in before, and was just VERY VERY careful when putting the header in (had my friend guide me in while looking down on the motor and I was on the ground guiding the header up). I'm gonna pull the plugs this weekend, it's been a year, and see how they're doing just for my own curiosity.
