Fastest way to change fuel pump?

Default Fastest way to change fuel pump?

Looking for the quickest way to swap fuel pump in an 01 Ws6. I am open to cutting a whole in the trunk. Is there any web instructions?? Only thing holding up the turbo install

i cut the hole in the trunk of mine...sadly i did not take any pictures....if you have a general idea of where the pump is you should be able to cut the hole close enough to get it out....alot faster then dropping the rear end!

Just drop the tank, its easy and u wont have to make holes in your car. All i did is basicly remove the little rear end bar or panhard bar and it droped right out. Might take a little longer but then everything on these cars is a bitch it will take time to do anything haha.

you can make the panel actually look pretty nice....piece of plexi glass and its always accessible and you can see it...

I also have removed the tank twice, I would not even consider cutting a hole in the trunk. there are basically two bolts to get the tank out, after the panhard and heatsheild for the muffler is out. do not forget to unbolt the filler neck from the rear quarter panel.

I've dropped my tank before. Its really not that bad.

No way I was going to cut a hole in my car.

cut the acces hole 20 minute job and its under the carpet so whos gonna see it.
just did my walbro a few weeks back . plus you dont even have to raise/lift the car

I did it 3 times, twice on my own. I can't even cut a hole now as I got amps screwed into the trunk and there are all those wires. It's a long process, but not hard.
