Default Heat shield removal

My heat sheilds rattle like crazy seems like every heat sheild I have under the hood has give to it. When I start the car or when it under load the make noise an ive lived with it up till now. Its just becoming a distraction. So I tried to tighten them and they still make noise. What else can I do to fix this? Has anyone ever removed them or motified them in anyway to stop this god awful noise? Obviously heatshields are there for a reason but has anyone ever removed them without issue?

I assume you're talking about exhaust heat shields? I haven't had any of those on my car for a loooong time.

The other heat shield you mentioned shields the driver's side motor mount.

I'm not quite sure what the point of it is, but I don't know if it would be advisable to remove.....

yeah i cut a small section out of the one right above my passenger side headers. i guess most of them just keep the floorboards from heating up. but going down the intestate they would probley stay pretty cool.

so does anyone know if we can just go ahead and take them all off, using common sense and makin sure theirs no wires in the way, or where the gas tank is.
