id go with whatever fits best/most cost efficient. neither setup is going to make it fall on its face at 4k. you will be within the margin of error with either setup.

Is there any difference in performance with a x-pipe that has 2 pipes welded toghter to create the "X" OR a x-pipe that actually has a "true" x-pipe section?? I think ima have my welder fab me up one thats "welded" toghter to put BETWEEN my header collectors & moroso spirals that way the X is before the mufflers like it should be, what do you think? Fab up one or get the actual section, will it really make a difference?

I really like the first one. It looks like it would be the best fitting. Tight fitting for a tight fit. LOL
But looks like you got the right idea for the job. If you can get the same thign like the first pic from your fabricator for less then I say go for it. If not, then pay out the cash for it and be done...LOL
