greddy catch can results?????
I've got my greddy catch can ready to be installed, and I'm wondering if any of you have had any good results from adding this or any other type of catch can. I have to say, i'm not entirely too optimistic about it. Any info would be appreciated.-Andy
I was going to do a catch can, but then decided to do breater valves, they can be a mess if you are dealing w/a lot of blow by, they drip oil residue onto the headers and it burns off and comes off underneath the car, bad news....
I'm going to try the breathers on the my new motor and if they still have issues I'm going to switch over to a catch can...
of those compressed air oil/water separators, and
he had about 1/2" of oil sitting in the bottom.
It showed up within a week and no problems.
Here's another, cheaper one, but I have no experience with them: http://www.subarustore.com/gredoilcatca.html

If you're talking about the catchcan (as opposed to a breather or something) then it doesn't matter which style of valve cover you have as long as it has a PCV line running out of it. The can just goes somewhere inline between the the valve cover and the TB - its a universal fit. Just make sure you get the version with the 9mm ends. This allows you to use 3/8" fuel line to run to and from the catchcan.
For anyone interested, I have some decent pics of the can, dimensions, and my installation that I can email.

depending on how much work you want to put into it.
bottom line is it's a bucket to catch oil in.
why waste more than $5 to do it.
but if you have $$$ to waste more power to ya.
