Default Best catback for low interior noise?

Currently running a "spiral-mouth" exhaust and I'm still not thrilled with the interior noise level. It's a huge improvement from the lm2 resonator. I like it when I really get on it, but I'd prefer not to hear the noise with every small acceleration. I wonder if it has to do with the position of the muffler under the car as opposed to other catbacks where the muffler is under the hatch area.

Am I looking for something that doesn't exist? A catback with a nice rumble at idle (outside) and roars when really on the gas hard, but relatively quiet in between.

Is there one out there?

Try a Random Tech Catback, underrated by many. I love mine for low noise and good flow!

just buy some dynamat and remove your carpet and stick it all over the rear hatch area, starting at the back of the rear seat hump that will solve the noise for you, and kill the drone you are getting inside

Corsa, F T W, I have mine with Dynatech LT's with their High flow cats. works mint, never an issue. Corsa is known for being on the tamer side and when you get near 3k, its a beast. I've been told its loud but I never notice since its behind me.

Looks like I'm down to three options:

1)Corsa
2)Magnaflow
3)Hooker

Anybody have personal experience in ranking them in order from quietest to loudest(interior)?

If it's loud to people outside I could care less

I have a Borla and with the QTEC closed, there was less resonance with the LTs than there was with the manifolds. It hardly rasps, unless you're near WOT. Again, this is with the by-pass CLOSED and cats'. ;D IMHO, it sounded really nice.

SLP dual/dual catback or muffler. Nice and quiet and deep but yet still flows amongst the best. Add an electric cutout and you're set.

SLP Dual/Dual is the quietest.

The Magnaflow is good sounding catback, but it's no where near as quiet as the Dual/Dual.

Hooker with ORY and LTs will sound stock at idle, quiet inside, and loud on the gas. This all changes when you get a cam...

Magnaflow or Hooker is what I'd recommend.

Hooker F T W, i just got it for my car cause it was to loud on the inside. It is so quiet on the inside i love it. I rode in a car with magnaflow and it had a drone to it. but it still sounded good, you cant go wrong either way.

i was looking for the same thing and i was looking at magnaflow but i heard the way it sounded with LT's and ORY and i didnt really like the way it sounded so i think im going to go with the hooker its sounds almost like stock at idle and gets louder when go get on it.

Will the magnaflow drone with stock heads and Y pipe?

Just when I was convinced magnaflow was the solution somebody has to mention the dreaded "D" word.

I have Mac's w/ory + magnaflow catback, and to be honest, it sounds soooo freakin good.....it has a nice rumble to it, no drone at all....maybe a tiny bit of rasp when I floor it but other than that it's awesome.....Don't forget also that it's made of stainless steel With stock heads & y-pipe, it won't drone at all.

Default all stock

i'm stock with a hooker catback.
hooker is very close to stock at idle and normal driving.
as far as drone, nil till 3500+ rpm.
now i'm looking for some headers/y pipe to mate it all.
my problem is that i have a yearly exhaust test.

the bassani tru-duals i have are reall good at keeping interior noise low. used to have the borla 3" adjustable on the wife's car. the resonance in the 2100-2300 range got to be unbearable. put the bassani tru-duals on and cut the interior level almost in half.
