I just rx'd my y pipe today. If they fit Jet Hot coated LTs to the SLP mid pipe, I should have them installed by next week. Anything is better than the cheap Jet Hot catted Y, poor design - great idea. I could never beat the exhaust leak this Y-pipe inherently has at the cats section. Too bad for me I tried it and wasted the money. I hope these work.

I also noticed there are no bungs for O2 sensors. I have to find someone to delete the rear O2's or have a local muffler shop weld them in. Not sure which is cheaper, 75.00 for a softpatch or the muffler shop. So add the extra cash that is mentioned.

based on my personal experience TSP's catted y-pipe is "supposed" to fit right up to the Hooker-style headers (i have Jet Hot headers). i do all of my own work to my car, i installed heads and cam in it a couple months ago, and i am GLAD that i took it to an exhaust shop to have them install this y-pipe for me. the exhaust shop welded it up (i don't weld), but they had to cut and flare some of the pipes to get them to fit properly. i say that i am glad that i didn't do it myself, because i watched the guys install it and it would have been a terrible PITA to get those pipes to fit together properly.

after all was said and done i would still buy TSP's catted y-pipe again, from pricing high-flow cats usually a pair of them are $300 from what i found, so it seems like a pretty good deal.

according to TSP's website, they should bolt right up to Pacesetter & Hooker headers. As for clearance on my 98 Trans Am, the driver side cat sit barely underneath the brake lines & floorboard. The bottom side of that cat is the closest part of my exhaust to the ground. My car sits at stock ride height, and the bottom of the cat sits about 4" or so off the ground (from guess-timation).

I have Hooker long tubes, TSP 3" catted y, and GMMG catback. We had to do a little adjusting, because my headers were only 2.5" pipe. I had a offroad Y pipe on before the catted TSP, and the sound was nice. But after we installed the TSP... it just turned out the best sound. Sounds like a turbo, mean, and tamed v8.

I agree. I paid $60 @ my local muffler shop to install the y pipe & weld on some tips. Installing the catback shouldn't be a problem for them.

Me and my brother installed a TSP ORY on my old car. It was pretty easy...we just had to get a couple pieces expanded a little (such as where it goes over the collector) to make it a little easier. Other than that it all was straight forward and slid right together. Good luck
