2.5" duals vs. 3" duals
2.5" duals vs. 3" duals im basing this question on how these two different in sound. Is there much difference in sound with 2.5" true duals from headers all the way over the axle-----compared to 3" duals from headers to 2.5" over axles?

I would doubt they'd differ much in sound, but that is pure conjecture on my part, as I'm sure most posts will be on this subject due to people not having had both. Not sure you'll get a great answer on this one...
i can't see why they would be significantly different.
if you're just gonna neck it down to 2.5 anyway...why not start with 2.5 and save yourself the ground clearance up front.

Yeh man,just go with the 2.5. Youll have better clearance and your power potential will be a few ponies after 500. I wouldnt do 3" unless you really wanna get all you can out of it which would be about 800. Go with the 2.5

actually there is a calulation for this. And the max efficiency of 2.5" duels are 513hp
I've had both, the 3" sounds noticeably deeper than the 2.5" but it's not a night & day difference. If I read your post correctly, you're necking back down to 2.5" after the axle anyway, so the sound difference will be negligible.
