gone thru 10 O2's PLEASE HELP! Ive gone thru about 10 O2's and i dont know what is making them go out.
I have an Open cutout with ORY and no cats.
What could be making them go out every 3-4 weeks?

Re: gone thru 10 O2's PLEASE HELP! I recall reading a post warning that WD40 or some type of silicone spray, sprayed near the sensors, could cause them to fail. Also mentioned was a certain gasket sealer, used in header install, that supposedly caused failure. Just my cloudy recollection though.

couldn't you just have them deleted using Edit and not worry about it anymore?
Re: gone thru 10 O2's PLEASE HELP! make sure they arent having rubbing issues or header melting issues. I have Hooker headers and if Im not careful the left sensor will wear through the wire and short out on the shielding.

Re: gone thru 10 O2's PLEASE HELP! I know if you used any kind of RTV silicone it will mess the sensors up, along with any kind of cantaminant in the fuel system. Whatever the problem, good luck with it.

I had a compression test done a week ago because of all the oil im burning and everything was fine.

Re: gone thru 10 O2's PLEASE HELP! Put a catch can on the pcv hose to cut down on the oil going into the combustion chamber. Are you using some extensions with long tubes. I know that I had a problem with the connection on one of my extensions that was turning the O2 on and off randomly, and setting a code. Just a couple of things to try out.
