Default ported throttle body worth it??

well...is it? i'm not exactly what you might call a do-it-yourselfer (i just changed my own oil for the first time the other day) so is this mod worth the money?

how hard is it to remove the stocker and reinstall the new piece? what parts and labor are involved? how long would it take? etc

It's extremely easy. It took me longer to install my slp air lid actually (had trouble getting the maf loose). Biggest problem you will have with the TB is removing the coolant line which is as basic as it gets. Check installuniversity.com. It literally took me 15mins max to take it off. I just sent mine off so I can't say for sure whether it's "worth it" yet. I've seen dyno sheets on here that show with a completely stock car 6-8rwhp gain. For $60 I think it's a pretty worthwhile mod.

Easy Easy!! and Very worth it!! .. There are guys on here that you can send it to and have it ported. Take your throttle body off, send it out, and put it back on. Its 3 bolts and some hoses -- easier than an oil change. Got mine done by Tim (smoken87T/a) .. reall good work

Get it done everyone will agree it is worth it ..

It is absolutely worth it. I did a pretty good job with mine, but it's not as nice as some of them I see here. Still, it was a very perceptable improvement.

you got a 10mm socket?....and can you turn a wrench...there ya go....

its a pretty nice upgrade but id advise you find someone who knows how to do, watch them, and try it yourself....its not a hard job to port it...however if you feel you need one fast or you dont think you can do it...there are several guys who do nice work...bo for example...

i ported mine with a dremel and no experience and it turned out great

sorry its so small, but its the only picture i have at 4:30 in the morning....its of one i did and sold....i buff the outside, and use three different dremel bits on the inside...the ridge right before the plate is totaly gone

most pro-guys will chrome them, i dont just dont have the time or even the want to....i care about perfomance more then anything else....but like i said some of these guys have really nice TB's though.....bo's one of them....

some other guys are a little overpriced though

if you'd like to try to do i can help you with it....

Very easy to remove and replace... here are a few links for you

www.performancethrottlebodies.com (Tim) ***

www.bnmotorsports.com (Brad) ****

for 65 to 85 bucks, I'd say it's worth it! I done (ported & polished) one myself, but if you can afford it (or don't have the tools), let them to the "dirty work"

OMG it is SOOO worth it!

Throttle response and acceleration have improved a LOT!!! My friends told me that it was a great bang for the buck, and they weren't lying one bit...

Got mine from Tim, I even paid him extra money to polish the outside of it and it looks as sweet as it performs!!!

Very Worth it and Smokin87ta has a special deal going on right now for this month.

I just got it done last week and I can tell there's a difference. The throttle response is great, especially on the highway and my exhaust even sounds better ( Kooks+magna)!

So if you got the money, do it!
