What are some of the companies making inexpensive systems? Doesn't have to be stainless.

Flowmaster, Hooker, SLP Loudmouth, TSP Rumbler, Magnaflow, I would stay away from the flowmaster catback btw.

I have the magnaflow and the welds on the pipes that hold the mounting brakets keep breaking. The Magnaflow cost me around $500. I'm looking even less expensive. I remember the hooker costing around $280 is that correct?

hooker is around $320, dynomax has a bullet style for around $320, TSP has the rumbler with tips for $300, flowmaster is around $320 but is not a good performer, and i believe the edelbrock can be had for about $320

Want even cheaper? .. TSP Rumbler without tips is $225. Cheaper still? ... buy a Bullet muffler or a flowmaster 1 chamber, straight piece of pipe and clamp it to the Y pipe leaving it dumped before the axle.

Because of where you live, definitely stainless, the salt on the road will eat away anything else. Since you already have a catback I would say just get an electronic cut out instead with the money.

edelbrock makes a pretty decent cat-back, not very quiet either. mine was $300 on my little 3.8 that i had a month ago.

I already have an electric cutout. The only reason I want a new catback is because my Magnaflow is cracking at all the welds by the brackets. I don't need stainless since the car is only driven from May to Oct. and at this point doesn't even see use in the rain.

And the lifetime warranty doesn't cover that? I'd give them a call and find out first.
