so what Ypipe can you get away with with QTP LTs What brand Y pipe can you get away with, meaning very little to no modification with QTP HVMC type LTs? im on a budget and need a cheap ORY.

I too would like to know. I know that a lot of people probably haven't attempted a lot of different options, but it would be a great idea for a thread. Like would the Kooks y-pipe work with QTP's....or how about would the QTP y-pipe hook up with the XS LT's?

I had a Mufflex Y with my QTPs for a while. It bolted in and was a lot cheaper than one from QTP. I hear Mufflex actually supplies QTP with the Y pipes so it's the same thing.

The Mufflex and QTP Y look the same to me. I can tell you Pacesetter won't work. I thought by seeing on QTP's website the different brands they claimed you could replace with theirs, I could use on my QTP lt's. Didn't work that way. I'm wondering if Hookers' Y would work.

If you want good fitment then a custom Y is the way to go. I got tired of my Mufflex and well I tore it up when I hit something on the highway so I had a custom Y made this time. I like it 100 times better and it tucks up very nice. It ended up costing me about the same amount that I spent on the Mufflex too

My pacesetter was way short on the driver side as it cuts underneath the far forward end of the trans bracket, which kills the clearance. So the Kooks worked huh? As far as custom, I don't think we have anyone who mandrel bends pipe here.

Buy some bends from Magnaflow and have it built. My Y was made out of bends from Magnaflow

The QTP Y is $335, the Mufflex one is $313 at TR. I'm just about ready to go ahead and get one that fits properly, and both of these use the flowmaster joint I believe, so it will be better than my Pacesetter. I just don't have time to have an exhaust shop keep my car to fab one for me. I work at a new car dealer service dept, so I'd rather just bolt it up myself.
