Default Project Envy - Moving in a positive direction!

Well folks heres an update.

** Philip came today and picked up the transmssion, he understands this car is gonig to be a solid mid 11 sec car or better hopefully so he knows what needs to be done.

** Put a new fuel filter in it, wow the old one was clogged to hell!

**Bought new belts and ASP crank pulley w/ OD alt pulley and ARP balancer bolt

**Bought a shitload of stuff from Byun Speed. full suspension pretty much. Im still not ready to lower it yet, and debating on my shocks/springs/sway bar combiniation

So I spent that much at Byun Speed and another $315 at TSP and $17 at Advance Auto.

I must say, it was an eventful day as far as mnoey spending goes.

Body Wise~

**Closed the gaps on the fender and bumper cover some, but still need work.

**Passenger side headlight... STILL refuses to move over the 1/4 inch I need for it to sit right and to make matters worse on it, 1 bolt broke the head off, and the other stripped and won't come out.
These headlights are such a bitch. I guess I'll have to drill those 2 ******* out sometime, but they are the least of my concerns for now.

So, you have part of a suspension there. Is the motor working yet? I thought that was the main area of focus?

If they are NGK plugs, you should have ran them right out of the box.

well.....they were sitting in a box full of bolts and tossed around so i wanted to make sure they were still gapped right. 2 were off a little bit, but not really enough to matter.

pretty much. im at the point now where I dont want something minor like this to **** something up. much like my pcv valve and grommet. talk about FUBAR'D!

But a quick question for ya Jordan...
I got that ASP pulley from TSP monday night, ordered both belts and the ARP bolt with it. Is that ARP bolt for mounting only or what? I know theres a longer bolt to mount it, but not to be installed. it has me REALLY confused.

Don't use the ARP to seat the pulley. I forget the thread size, but you can basically get a longer cheaper bolt to pull it onto the snout with then, extract, and use the ARP to 265ftlbs.

I wouldnt do that, I just put in NGK's in and some of them had a different gap than others out of the box.

Always gap plugs, what you gap them to is your problem

Well, the point was: Check the gaps then install. Most of the time they are all the same. You should always check, but they are setup from the factory for ideal gaps. The round gap thing that comes on a key chain is such a huge piece of junk. You will screw them up using those. Feeler gauges are the precise way of measuring.
