Default Jet-Hot Longtubes?

I was browsing for some new headers online, and saw a Jet-Hot kit with LT headers, cats, and Y-Pipe for $970 shipped. The headers are ceramic coated, along with the Y. The header description and pictures look great, but I wanna know if anyone has or knows someone who has these headers and if they are worth my time and money. Thanks

jet hots are nice. im using their y pipe for my XS headers, and it bends down because the jet hot drivers side header angles up for better ground clearance

Outstanding headers that make great power and I was able to install in my garage, although I don't recommend it safetywise.

Another option is to get a set of XS headers and Jet Hot catted Y or TSP catted Y.

alright guys thanks for the feedback. so it's better to fork out a little more money for the Jet-Hot kit than to settle for the price of Pacesetter's LTs, ORY, and cats?

The jet-hot Y pipe that I bought sucked. The hole in the pipe where the two merged was half the size it should have been, it was cut with a torch by a blind man. I had to make a 12" extension for my die grinder and it took a couple hrs to open it up. The headers were ok though.
Kooks ???

I've been told the Jet Hot Y sucks. The headers are good though. You could do the Jet Hot headers with a TSP Y. You may also want to consider the XS headers since they are stainless and around the same price.

the headers are ok and do make power but there y/cats suck
i had there catted y for maybe 5k miles before the cats blew out and were always restrictive

best bet would be a kooks setup to be honest . spend a little more but its also the last set youll ever have to buy . there cats flow pretty damn good too.

also the jet hott coating doesnt hold well to the elements

**** kooks...

if you want to go cheaper then kooks with the same quality go with the XS headers. Buy the headers, but not the Y pipe. Have a shop custom fab you up a catted Y, it will probably be cheaper, and flow better.

I had Jet Hot LT's in my old SS and I liked them. The Ypipe did hit but I have been told if you do the poly motor mounts it won't anymore. I ended up going to true duals.

I think I used a Hooker Y that an exhaust shop had to weld in about a 3" extension on the passenger side and it worked fine. I know I beat the horse down on my Jethot numbers, but I picked up 31 rwhp/30 ish rwtq to the tires on my 99Z with 224/228 cam, 4.10's, Borla, LS1 intake, pulley, etc. I added the LS6 intake afterwards and saw 8/11. I did have a constant check engine light every month for a driver side 02 heater circuit failure, which did start immediately after having the headers and I never found a cure other than replacing that sensor almost monthly.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I think I'm gonna do the Jet-Hot LTs with the TSP catted Y. Did a little research and the TSP catted Y is a better deal than most combos, with good reviews. Now I just have to wait another 7 weeks till I get home from Iraq...

I noticed a few issues back in GMHTP that there were a few 10 second cars running Jethots. I believe Kooks was the most used out of that bunch.

I did some reading and several people were saying that Jet-Hot headers are simply Hooker headers with a few slight improvements and the jet-hot coating. Has anyone else heard that?

yeah that's about right. They are "improved" Hooker headers. They are thicker and I think the O2 sensor holes are moved to the inside of the header so you don't have to use extensions. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have coated Jet Hot LT that I paid $500 shipped and then bought a used coated Hooker Y-Pipe off a buddy for $100. I had to notch my k-member on the drivers side slightly but other than that they fit good.

If I was a new guy looking to buy LT headers, I'd get Pacesetter LT and Y-Pipe, nice pieces for the money.
