QTP confusion
I ordered me some race version QTP headers and they arrived after only 3 business days. I took them out today to check them out and get prepared to start installing and was a little puzzled by the way they looked.
First off as you can see in these pics they have no QTP logo welded in the upper corner or no where else on them.

Next I noticed a weld in the middle of one of the primaries on the passenger side header. The driver side does not have this weld. Do QTP headers usually have this weld?

Next i noticed the inside of the flange and primaries had been grided on. I guess to clean the look up and smooth them out a little and I wasn't sure if this was normal.

I was wondering if anyone had bought any QTP's lately and if so did theirs look like this. I am worried I got a pair of seconds or something but maybe someone can ease my mind.

Yea thats what i thought. The box they came in had QTP on it in several places and the return address or the address from which they came had Quick Time performance and the rest of there info.
Take a pic and post up the pic of the collector, but I am pretty XS headers.

They definetly are not XS headers. The primaries are routed wrong for the XS design. They also have the QTP HVMC. But then they don't look exactly like QTP headers either. Maybe they are repaired or "refurbished" or something?

Just got off the phone with QTP and he explained to me that in order to get the badges on the headers it would have held my order up 3 weeks. I asked about the weld in the primary and he says that happens every now and then and every header company has to weld a primary every now and then. What do you guys think?
