backwards maf?????please help me

backwards maf?????please help me hey guys i was just working on my car and noticed the maf seems to be backwards and i dident notice it till now. the car ran fine just would have a little bit of a wield idle once and a wile.
the maf seems to be ported and the letters on the front of the maf say piont toward air cleaner but if i do that the conector will be on the left side. only way it seems to be right if the maf is up side down with the conector on the bottom.
so wtf is up????? lol here is some pics.

OK, never mind- I thought they was 1 pic of one side and 1 of the other. Is it? Looks like you spun the MAF around and took the other pic instead of taking a pic and flipping it over and taking the other. As long as the MAF meter itself(the plastic part) has the air cleaner side toward the air cleaner your good to go.

the pics are of 1 side
if i put the maf the way its suposed to go the conector it on the left and the wires are not long enough the reach to the left side.
only way to make it work the way it is to have the have the conector towards the bottomlike underneath the maf.
i looked more at it and the way it was on the car since i had it all the arrows that say flow like the sticker on the maf are all backwards. the letters that say toward the air cleaner where faceing the engine.

On my car the black plastic part is on the drivers side with the harness connection pointing up. The arrow on the MAF should be to the top and facing towards the engine

i know my stupid *** had it backward its my fault and i should be shot for messing my own **** up lol.
well the maf was backwards the whole time i had the car so what would this effect???
