Default Dumped TDs...... How Do You Do It? **VIDS ARE POSTED NOW**

**I WILL GET THE VIDEO TOMORROW**

But today I took my tail pipes off, 6 bolts and off they come . I only took them off today b/c one of my hangers came off and the tip was shaking like crazy with the cam. So i took them both off.

I had the windows down and T-tops down, there was very little interior noise. And wow at WOT sounds cazy. at idle and crusie VERY DEEP AND BASSY! Ohh and at WOT, the car seem to pull a lot harder.

So it was time to put the cover on put it back in the garage. So the T-tops went back on and windows up started the car, WOW was it fuggin loud in the cabin. my whole car sounded like it was going to vibrate apart with the cam. The interior nosie was just crazy loud.

So basically i am going to get my hanger fixed and throw the tail pipes back on. Those who run TD's dumped with a cam, your all CRAZY, LOL!!!!!

But i promise to get a vid with it dumped tomorrow....

i was also experimenting b/c when i come to a stop and i have the T-tops off and windows down, the cam is ver ineffecient at idle and with cats, wow the exahsut is very strong, smells like raw fuel. so i was seeing if i dumped it if it would make a diffence and it did a bit

My duals are surprisingly quite inside the car......window up or down dont matter its really nice but outside of the car its ******* LOUD i guess it has to do with the angles of ur turn downs.....I too was expecting insane loud from the dumps but to my surprise and all of my buddies aswell its damn quite.

i have turn outs not downs, so they exit out to the side. My noise isnt bad at all. I dont know why people would go back to a y after having duals on. I must have gotten used to them because i dont think their that loud at all. now open headers was a different story the car was shaking apart.

Dumped duals arent bad with the stock cam, but with a cam dumped duals are way too much. My dumps lasted 2 days after i installed my new engine I took it right over and had brand new out the back duals installed.

If you want loud then run TSP TDs with NO muflers, just open after the X-pipe. Now that is loud as hell but I loved it. My hangers broke so I took the mufflers off.

Jonas...Wow, does your car sound so much better with the dumps. I can't wait to hear it on Wednesday night. And I don't care what anyone else says (horrible interior noise, raw fuel smell, lack of tips, etc.), Flowmaster 1-chambers sound sooooooooo much better when dumped vs out the back. I'm keeping mine dumped and can't wait to finally add the cam (although that may still take a few more years).

BTW, what is your idle set at? Sounds like your cam idles really fast...

Mike,

It needs to have tail pipes put back on. The interior noise will kill you. All seriousness, you will need to hear it on Wednesday. Raw fuel smell was a lack of, i got that with the tail pipes...

I will keep it dumped jsut for you. But after that, tail pipes are going back on...

And my car idles 930-970

Its not too bad. If youre lean though then you have nothing to worry about, its just that you dont have cats. You could also have an exhaust leak though.
