I got the coated set. I dd my car and live in Indiana which equals lots of rain. The bottom of my headers where rusted pretty badly in about a 8 months. Wasn't worth the extra $!

I bought coated ones this spring and they still look new, although my car never sees rain. A buddy of mine has uncoated PS's on his 97 TA and they looked terrible less than a month later.

I've been running the coated Pacesetters for 3 years and no rust. Spend the extra $100.

I have BMR springs on my car with Pacesetters, and I haven't had any issues with the headers hitting anything, but the TSP off-road y pipe hits everything.

This has been discussed a thousand times over. Coated Pacesetters are so incredibly affordable, you'd be crazy not to get coated ones. Uncoated mild steel headers are a waste of money IMO. Personally, I can't recommend anything but stainless, but for the money, it's hard to beat Pacesetters.

I'd probably go for a set of XS stainless for a measly $100 more though...

Hope you enjoy your new headers!

Coated is worth it.

Mine still look brand new after having them on the car for over a year.
