Free Ram Air Mod??
(Edit)
Decided to make this a poll. Not interested in the SSRA or FIPK or the FTRA...These are my two options, which one would you recommend from a performance standpoint? Thanks!

Get the FTRA system. That's the only way to go IMO. Proven horsepower gains, proven 0.1 - 0.2 reduction in ET's, it's been proven to raise the volumetric efficiency of your motor, it's made of stainless steel and will last forever and it's completely stealth: totally invisible when installed (unless you decide to stick your head under the nose of your car for some reason).
yup it will do jsut fine. sealing the hood is the best way to do it. tis also a lot cheaper than say chocos FTRA system. If you want, go search for a thread I amde called BG ram air vs SSRA and theres pcis of a few home made sealed airboxes

1st. it dirties my filter faster.- cause it is getting more air.
2nd weather strip it to the hood.- yeah good idea. then at 65-80 when the hood ram air doesn't work your motor has to work harder. after a certain speed the ram air doesn't work.

wtf does that mean???
Lmfao! oh, umkay... Look at the old BGRA gains http://www.geocities.com/brian98rama..._Air_Pics.html from sealing the hood (+2mph and -.2 in the quarter). These made much better power than anything else out there. They don't sell the BGRA anymore, but you can make your own. Here's what I did, using a piece of lexan from Lowes and some weatherstripping. http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...42420/JGRA.jpg Cost me $25 and took about an hour to make. There are better ones out there, like the one here http://guerragroup.com/2000TA.htm , but you can make your own out of several different materials and still save $200 and get excellent results.
I wouldn't consider FTRA or SSRA while I had a SS/WS6 hood available. Without the hood, definitely. FRA I wouldn't consider either way.
