Changing my Dynomax bullets for Borlas in my duals
I want to quiet my car down some. I have 3" x-pipe with 16" Dynomax mufflers. I want to replace them with Borlas. Do I want the XR1 Race mufflers or the Sportsman mufflers? Both are 4.5" tall. Does anyone think I could fit some 12" Dynomax mufflers before the x-pipe too? Thanks!

Get some Moroso Spiral-flow mufflers. They are quieter than bullets, and sound better IMO.

I did use 2 xr-1 sportsman (part# 40085) 15x5x3 for my true duals. it sounded very deep and rumbling.
I had to switch them out b/c of some ground clearance.

I've got a Borla XR1 Sportsman muffler in place of my Loudmouth resonator Nice sound, very litltle interior resonance, almost no rasp - and still pretty ferocious at WOT Just a great performing muffler, IMO.

Those sound good, but they look like they'd be pretty restrictive.

You will definitely hear a very noticeable difference over open dumps. Even over bullets you will hear a noticeable difference. The spirals also gave it a little more of a "tuned" (not so raw) sound.

Re: Changing my Dynomax bullets for Borlas in my duals
Alright, thanks for the info. I just ordered a pair of them. Even if I don't like them, they are about 25% of the price I would pay for a pair of Borla XR1 race mufflers. Hopefully they'll be just what I want.
