For those with XS and banging ypipes.

My driver's side header was touching the floorboard.
I took it out and cut off ~2" of it. I took a 3" internal diameter connector and cut a V in it, pinched it together and welded it back (probably 20-25 degree bend). Then I took a 40 degree mandrel bend, cut it in the middle of the bend, rotated it 160 degrees and welded it back together. These combined take it away from the floorboard and over the little hump that our cars have. I smoothed the inside down really well, hopefully it won't hurt the flow too badly. Maybe not at all!

People poll the forum looking for the best tucking headers and then complain when the exhaust bangs the floor. You cant have both. Face it, our cars suck for space to run exhaust.

im not to sure about notching any ribs under the car,, these cars are tied togather by so many structural areas, those ribs being a contributing factor to the strength of the frame. just have the drivers side collector angled down a few degrees, brings the ory down away from the floor and still gives pleny of ground clearance without cutting up the car.
