So its been a few days, but ive made progress, and were almost done!

Had a minor set-back monday, I was placing the rockers on the head just so they wouldn't be laying around and put the valve cover on the head to keep dirt out. So dear ol dad tried turning the motor over with the rockers off the pedastel even though I told him don't turn the damn thing over. no major damage, but he ended up busting the #2 exhaust spring retainer. valve didnt drop or bend, just busted the cap in half, so the new retainer and locks will be here tomorrow.

Pics:

Whats Left to do:
Cover
Oil Pump cover
Water pump
Pulley
Oil Pan
PCV
Coil packs
Transmission dipstick tube
Exhuast: Y pipe and cat-back
Power steering & Belts

look brandon, im tryin, my dad has this awesome way of ******* all of my stuff up, which brings us to explain these pictures.

My dad was ****** around with my rockers right after the above photos were taken. he decided, oh gee let me turn this motor over without the rocker pedastel on and without the rocker tightened down.

SNAP! there went the #2 intake spring retainer and the valve. so off came the head, and here it is. Head is BACK on all rockers are on, MOTOR TURNS SMOOTHLY, VALVES OPEN AND CLOSE, NO BINDING NO CLINKS ITS SMOOTH. So, we have intake and exhaust valves working open and closing and its building compression.

Oil pan is on, pickup tube is on front cover is on water pump is on pulley is on the power steering assembly is back on and the fans are now in as well.

I'm rush delivering an LS6 PCV system from Thunder Racing now since my dad took the liberty of snaping my ls1 pcv hose at the Y junction. Sorry for the set-back, but this time it wasnt my fault.

but I did do a lot of things, all we have left is the pcv the header hooking up the exhaust and the intake and tada diddy doo damn done.

Hey tainted it's looking good for you!

Don't forget to squirt sone oil on the rocker arms around the pivot.
Also be sure and oil the springs either by spraying engine oil or at least spray them with a liberal amount of W-40 before you button it up.

Good luck, hope it turns out good !

Please don't spray WD-40 or other penetrating oil on the interior of the engine where it will end up mixing w/ the engine oil.

Just drizzle engine oil on the rockers and let it run down the springs.

At least you're going to be done soon. I can't imagine how excited you must be. I miss mine so much. It sucks because I'm still collecting parts for mine and there's no way I'm going to be done before summer.
