Pacesetter Lts are the cheapest...Most go w/ them. The best are probably kooks, but they cost alot because there stainless...All Lts generally put out the same hp numbers though.

I have had super comps on 2 different LS1's. They were both uncoated and looked terrible after a few thousand miles. They are good performers for the price however. I would put them in the moderate price range. I would go with the stainless header in your case. They are destined to have about the same output.

PLUS ONE +on this thread. I was about to post up an exact thread dealing with this. Speed Inc has the coated for 399 shipped, which is why i've been looking at them over pacesetter.

I would either buy pacesetters or AR if I was willing to spend the money on stainless headers. For inexpensive headers, the coated pacesetters are hard to beat. I really like the new AR headers though, and haven't heard one complaint about fitment or how they look. They would be my first choice, funds permitting.

i have flowtechs on my car, and they fit great. They rest against the pinch weld on the drivers side k member just a tad, but you coudl easily grind that area off before hand. I have seen many headers touch in this area.

i was also thinking of going for flowtech lt. there was no other issue with the install other than it resting on the k member? are they the same as hooker lt since there both made by holley?

We sell Jet Hot Coated Pacesetters that have been very popular. The come coated inside and out (the ones Pacesetter sells are coated outside only), with Jet Hot's warranty.

There is no reason to buy Flowtechs when they cost the same as Pacesetter and the Pacesetter headers is much better.

The Flowtech header only has a 1/4" flange compared to the 3/8" flange on the Pacesetter.

My Pacesetter LT's and Y pipe came today. DO NOT waste your money on the hooker's.

Why would it be a waste?

Have read that the hooker's tend to leak at the collector and do not fit as well as the pacesetter's.

i got my flowtechs for 200 shipped new, so i cant complain. If i had to buy them at regular cost, i would probbly buy pace setters. Was just letting him know that i had flowtechs, and no issures.

Mine never leaked at the collector. It also depends on if you have a flanged or slip fit connection.

Well if that is the case then they just made the jump to the most terrible header ever! Most of the time that area is the crucial part to get sealed up. Unless they just rusted out or something.

I have the hooker lt's and they fit great. They never ever leaked or have any problems with them. But 2 days ago the egr port blew out of the header. Now it is to thin to weld up so its time for new headers after 4yrs.

I am going with Kooks now so i never have to do headers again.
