Hey guys, im getting some piping fabbed up by the same guys who did 1cleanbiris's dumped dual set-up. I need to decide what muffler/bullet i want to buy to weld onto the set-up....I love loud (otherwise I wouldnt get a TD) but the ONLY thing that would **** me off is having a shitload of rattling inside the cabin. That said, post what muffler/bullet you would use and why. I have scavenged through LS1sounds.com for days so dont tell em to go there i want real world opinions guys! I saved some money going with a half DIY set-up so i can afford any of these mufflers so price isnt an issue.
If your wondering why I put the SLP LM1 resonators up there, well before I totaled my full bolt on 2006 GTO my set-up was NASTY! I had Kooks 1-7/8" LT's running into Catless 3" midpipes, and then on into SLP LM1 resonators....heres some of my good memories.....

Sweet thunders sound great I think...if you like it really loud you might like the bullets though.

i dont know how to justify spending $120 per muffler for the Borlas when the Spiral flows AND the bullets are 40-50 bucks.....how much are the sweet thunders?

Spintech Mufflers...they sound sick, cost about $70-80 bucks a piece and flow just as well as the xr1's. I am in the same boat with you...been searching for the perfect muffler for sometime...I'm sold on the spintechs! Here's a link to a 69' with a ls7 and true duals. They are not bullets though, if that's what you are looking for...although they do sale mufflers that are about the same width and length as bullets...Sorry, i don't have the real world experience with them but i haven't read one negative thing about them yet!

here's a camaro with a 408...

i had xr1's on my 3in x pipe set up for a while the sounded pretty good. But Flowmaster one chambers are the way to go for duals IMHO.

If you don't want a "**** load of rattling inside the cabin," make sure you have the exhaust exit through the back. Having the exhaust dumped before the axle will create a lot of resonance inside the cabin. Ask me how I know.

i cant run it out through the back....i believe STRONGLY that the camaro looks the best with 0 exhaust pipes coming out the back. therefore i must dump! lol but i was thinking about taking it a little further back then most people do, putting the turndowns as close as possible to the rear end.

+1 on that! Dump it and take out all the heat shields, hangars and junk. Then put an Aluminum cover on the rearend at least thats what I did..

I say go with Flowmaster 1 chambers but they will be kind of tight so heck go with Sweet Thunders or Powersticks and run a longer turndown on them that extends closer to the axle and turned out towards the sides of the car.
