Default MTI Clear Lid and Holley Powershot or Volant

My fingers on the order button... gonna do something today...

I'm having issues with my current setup sealing right... TSP Lid and K&N

I'm worried that the MTI will have the same issues...

where as the volant won't have sealing issues, but seeing as it replaces the radiator support i'm a little worried it won't fit my setup seeing as I have the Be Cool Radiator... Pic below (it's a lot bigger than stock)

but..... i gotta think if the stock radiator support works, then wouldn't the volant?

here's a pic of it...

EDIT: I voted "other" just to take up my one vote....

Found the Volant brand new for $250

The MTI w/Filter would be $160

i have the MTI clear lid. its rather snug to install/remove, but it lines up fine and has never cracked.

FYI: the firehawk has standard lower airbox, not the raised WS6 one. some seem to think the WS6 lower airbox is more likley to have issue because of the angle that the maf tubing would be at.

I was going to put the Volant on my new set up. I did buy one. I also have the Be Cool.

If you go the Volant route, it will not hold the rad. But you can drill a hole down into that aluminum block that is welded to the top of the rad and tap it and run a bolt into it. You can see the side of it in your photo. This would be stronger than stock IMO. I had the intake on the car to see if this would work and it will.

The only reason I am not using the one I bought is I have decided I need more air for my Harrop intake.

just get a fram paper filter and it will seal way better than that k&n. My slp lid had a k&n air filter and it didn't fit good at all, I always had leaves on my screen..

I have the MTI clear lid with the WS6 raised lid and fit perfect with no binding.

anybody know if the Holley Powershot filter will fit better than the K&N? maybe I'll just switch over to that....
