What are all the bolt-ons and how much do they help?
I just tring to find the best bolt-ons for the LS1. How much do they help the car at the track? Also, dyno numbers would be nice for each combo.
Thanks for the help!

Re: What are all the bolt-ons and how much do they help?
Kevin,
I have most of the bolt-on's on my car. Check out my website. I have a breakdown by ET of each of the mods.
Just substitute "TCI" for "Yank"
Basically, the "Bolt-On" or "Stock Internals" definition is: Naturally Aspirated, stock motor, intake to oil pan, stock long block. LS6 intake swaps allowed. Most everything else is fair game.
Quickest STOCK INTERNALS List
If you have any questions, yet me know!

Re: What are all the bolt-ons and how much do they help?
Thanks for the reply! I was looking for more detail. I mean, I more complete detail to the whole combo of the cars. What I am looking for:
Converter (of course)
Gears
Headers and Exhaust (Brand and Size)
Thermastat
Pulleys
Ram Air
And any other bolt-ons I may have forgotten.
Thanks for your help. I am about to purchase a '01 Z28 A4 for my wife.

MAC mid-length headers w/off-road y-pipe
HAL front shocks & springs
Air Lid w/Holley filter
BMR LCAs
BMR SFCs
ASP underdrive pulley
Vig3600 tq converter
B&M trans cooler
trans temp gauge
Drag wheels on all 4's w/ Hoosier QTPs
descreeded stock MAF
3.42 gears (car came w/3.23)
160* thermo
HPP3
Since have added:
swapped y-pipe for true duals w/X-pipe dumped at the rear axle
Bauer ported TB
Ram Air setup
Others to consider:
tunning
any other suspension not already listed
??????
Hope this helps a little, but I do not have back to back dyno and track times for every little mod I put on my car. Will this be an all option car or a light weight stripper?
Your wife should love the car, I wouldn't trade mine for anything. Good Luck with it.

Ported throtle body approx. 10rwhp
ASP underdrive pulley approx. 10rwhp
Smooth bellows 5rwhp (claimed)?
Cold Air Induction(CAI) 10rwhp (cannot be dynoed)
header(stock) approximately 15-22rwhp
header (heads and cam) approximately 22-32rwhp
I hope this helps.

Re: What are all the bolt-ons and how much do they help?
Thanks for the reply. This is the kind of info I was looking for. I would like to mod with bolt-ons before I go to into the motor. I cannot want to get started. If anyone else has any suggests, please feel free to share them.

Re: What are all the bolt-ons and how much do they help?
So you want to do everything besides heads & cam it sounds like, Here is a rundown
Headers, get a grott clone or hookers 15-20 hp
without cam?
Catback, many to choose from
Air Lid, 10 hp
Ported Throttle Body 3-6 hp
Underdrive pulley 5-10 hp
Ram Air (unmeasurable,, worth a 10th in the 1/4)
Exhaust cutout, worth 10 hp over the catback.
And if you really get giddy you can bolt on
the Yella Terra rockers and an electric water pump which both combined may be worth another 10-15hp. Oh yeah maybe a 160 t-stat.

I disagree with you stating that a (CAI) cold air induction cannot be measured on the dyno. When we tested the Super Sucker Ram Air(SSRA)kit we ran the car on the dyno stock. We then installed the SSRA, placed a construction blower fan in front of the scoop, and did a dyno run. Our best increase was 13rwhp. We tried it a few times and it was consistently 12rwhp more than stock with the Super Sucker.

Re: What are all the bolt-ons and how much do they help?
This is all I've done. Maybe it'll help you. The 02's have better internals however includeing the LS6 intake already compared to the 99 model TA that I have.
But bone stock with just a descreened MAF and drop in K & N filter, April 15th, 2003, I dynoed at 316rwhp and 348rwtq on a mustang dynamometer.
1/4 run back in April with 2.3 best 60" was a couple 13.6 and mainly 13.7's.
Since then I've added the following and dyno after all were complete:
All the free mods (ram air, TB bump stop, etc)
SLP Air Lid w/drop in K & N filter
SLP Smooth Bello's (not worth the $$, build your own from home depot/lowes)
Hooker Cat-back Exhaust
SLP 85mm MAF
TCI Super Streetfighter 3500 stall
3.73 gears
B & M tranny cooler
BMR LCA with relocation brackets
LS1 Edit Dyno tuned on Mustang Dynamometer.
New dyno results as of Mid July (think weather played a good roll, along with gear/stall combo) 302rwhp and 316rwtq.
Last run at the track with 2nd gear shift point being off (it hits the rev limiter 3 times before it shifts into 3rd. Getting addressed next weekend) I ran 13.42 @ 104.8mph with a 2.01 60' on street tires (BF Goodrich G-Force KDW)
Temp was mid 90s and 100% humidity.
Hope that helps.
btw when I get the shift points worked out I am adding a underdrive crank pulley.
