! had a 1 chamber on my 98 TA and it sounded great, but i had long tubes, no cats, and it was dumped at the rear so only downside was i still had the cutouts in the stock TA bumper with no tips to fill them in...kinda looked odd but i got used to it.

I personally love it and wouldn't trade it for the world. If you are going to go the other way LT's an ORY and an Hooker Aerochamber would probably suit you best.
I am like you, I like the loud.... when other people say it's too loud, then it's perfect. how much louder than stock is a LM1 if the cats and stock manifold are still in palce?

I've been listening to every clip on ls1sounds.com, and all roads are now leading toward the LM1 for me...

If you want loud, what is scaring you away from an electric cutout?

Here's an option for you: https://ls1tech.com/forums/northwest-members/819015-gmmg-chambered-exhaust-sale-400-a.html

BTW, I don't get how so many of you guys say the FM 80 is quiet. My brother's on manifolds is as loud as my GMMG was on manifolds. Maybe it's blown out on the inside ... I dunno. But it isn't quiet by any stretch.

You will never get the F-body to sound like a Mustang. First off they have a cast iron block, they have a different firing order.

When i got my trans am, i tried to different exhausts to get it to sound like my 97 GT. My GT had BBL LTs + BBL O/R H Pipe + MagnaPack C/B

Now my trans am sounds similar to my mustang

I have QTP LTs + 3" O/R H Pipe + 1 Chambers.. Just like the ones in the vid.

Click my sig for an idle. i also have an idle clip b4 my cam too

There are quite a few LS1 F-bodies in town. Stop by my work you'll see 3 or 4 lol. Mine has a magnaflow on it and I would be more than willing to let you hear it if you like. A co-worker had a loud mouth on his and it was too freaking loud. I bought my car with a flowmaster on it and taking that thing off was one my first orders of business. Sounded good at idle, had a bunch of resonance while accelerating and just didn't sound good wide open. PM me if you're interested in checking it out.

loudmouth is the way to go, it's probably one of the loudest catback systems available. you cant get an ls1 to sound much meaner on stock manifolds and cats. i purchased mine with the slp resonator instead of the muffler and i couldnt be happier. after christmas time longtubes are goin on, that'll be loud!!!

sounds good! - I pretty much made that decision myself tonight, I am going to buy the loudmouth... I tend to like cars louder than most people do, so I think, while it may not be for everyone, it's the best way to go for me!
