Tick after LS6 install

Tick after LS6 install Well as the title states, I'm wondering if after the ls6 install took place, anyone heard any noises. I have what sounds almost like a lifter tick. Only thing is it doesn't go with the RPM. Now I didn't go the ls6 coolent pipe way, I ground the ribs out. I'm thinking maybe the vaper pipes is rubbing or tapping the valley cover or intake. Let me know what you guys think or if you know of anything else that ticks.

I believe the sound you're hearing is the injectors sound being amplifed between the LS6 intake and valley cover. I bet your LS6 intake didn't have the foam gasket on the bottom front and back of the intake(mine didn't), so the sound is being amplifed instead of being absorbed by the foam gasket.
I went through the same thing 2 1/2 months ago.
I also retorqued my intake bolts after about a week and they tightened up a little bit.That seemed to help a little with the noise.

You can probably find some kind of foam gasket material at any large home improvement/hardware store. Make sure you get some that compresses easy, 1/2" to 3/4" thick should be about right.

Thanks, thats kind of what I was thinking as well. The sound is exactly like listening to an injecter with a stechiscope. I guess I screwed up big time. My intake had those foam pads on it but I removed them becuase I had to grind the bottem to clear the pipes.
