im sure it would but might not be really noticeble. do they do emmision testing in ontario, cause if not you could just hollow out your current cats.

Do you really even need to have the cat there at all? I've yet to see a shop around here do a thorough visual inspection. Thats Utah for ya though, hah.

They will be louder...why not take them off...You have NO testing in N.Bay.

It'll sound as close to an ORY as possible while still running cats. Those are the cats I'm running and with the open cutout, it's pretty raw and very, very loud.

true. but i dont want it to sound like **** running and ory. I just want it a bit louder to hear the lope all the way out the back. Rate now its pretty tame with the cutout closed. Also if i get these im gonna have them rate after the collector which may help me out as well instead of them being positioned in the middle of the Y which is where my current ones are placed... Im still debating. There only $200 and i could try and sell the ones i have now

I talked to Tim at EAD about both during my LT install and he said that the spun cats would be louder and not kill rasp as effectively.

As I mentioned before, I have the cats you want.

This is what my car sounds like with the cutout open. Bear with me, the clips are made with a digital camera so it didn't capture the sound as effectively as a camcorder would, and I have no driving clips. However, there is virtually no rasp. The only time I may get a little bit of rasp is if I'm cruising at a very low speed and I put the throttle down kind of hard and it stays in 4th gear and pulls from 1800-2200. There's a LITTLE rasp, but nothing unbearable.

QTP LT's, custom y-pipe, Magnaflow 59959's, Corsa catback, open cutout is my setup.

cold start:

warm start:

I've been wanting to get better clips but I've driven my car over 3 different occasions in the past 3 months

BTW, here are what the cats look like:

I bought the cats from EAD, also. Good people.

thanks a lot for the pics and vids^. So what i think i might do come spring, is have the cats removed, see how i like it. If i dont i can order the 59959 cats and put em on rate after the collector! sounds like plan to me
