LS6 intake is fine. Without a big cam and heads you really won't notice the difference. Total maybe 10 HP.

^^ yeah, ls6 is perfect for now, if you plan on going crazy with a cam/heads or boosting it soon then go with fast...as for a tb, just get it ported and you are set

It depends, do you plan on getting heads, building a larger cube engine, running spray or boost in the near future??? If your planning on doing any of those and have the funds available the 90/90 setup might not be a bad idea that way you only have to buy an intake once. If you plan on staying cam only or throwing on some juice the LS6 with a pptb would be fine.

Yeah but with stock heads the 90/90 setup will not get too much more power then the LS6 intake. +1 for the stock ported and polished throttle body.

i agree compleatly!

i hate when people say its an overkill or you will not get much more gains over the ls6.

first of all. your getting more the hp then the ls6

secound you only buy the intake once!!! why pay for an ls6 now, then later on buy a fast?

i say get the FAST! and when you are ready for heads, then get it port matched to the heads. and benifit even MORE from the gains.

this is also the reason why i havnt swapped out my ls1 intake yet. and i have the ms3. yea its robbing me power with that intake. but i want to do it rite the first time!

Well nice heads and a nice cam with a 90/90 setup sometimes show 15 to 20hp gains over the LS6 intake. It is all what you want with the car. Some people on here will say go for it and others will tell you it is a waste of your time and money. But in the end if you want it and have the money just get it.

This is the way I'm thinking. I'd like to get an LS6 for cheap, but they may only be worth $25 in 5 years. I'd rather get the Fast since I plan on heads/cam and possibly a stroker when I blow it al up hheehehehehe

I agree that it depends on your long term goals. If you're going big down the road then don't buy two intakes. If you're staying mild then don't spend the big money on the FAST.

i say (LS6 intake/p&p Tb) is the better bang for the buck without a doubt. Unless you gettin heads in the future then go 90/90 bro

Stupid question, but if you go with a fast 90/90 setup, you can still use the regular sized air lids, right? Or do you have to get one of those new bigger air lids to match up?

the way to attack it is- if in the future u are going heads/cam+n20 etc etc-the fast will be worth the outlay--

so a future plan is important before outlaying a bit of cash-

i have also been told and have now seen that the fast does not show gains when use in a fi -thats not to say it does not work------ it does not show a hp increase-thats all--just incase u want to go the turbo root-the ls6 will work and save u money-

I ad an LS6 intake on my car (CTS-V with an LS6, go figure). I added a 90/90. I lost tq and HP below 5500, and gained it above. So I guess it depends on your goals. I am eventually going to do some nice heads and a cam, so I wanted to get all the boltons down and out of the way [https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=822519].

It shouldn't be a problem. The outside diameter of my stock 78mm TB (stock LS6), was exactly the same size as my NW 90.
