Think ALL Flowmaster mufflers lose power? Think again...

No, just aluminized steel.
I will get you a pic today. I also have the Texas Speed duals, but, I had to do some fab work to allow them to work with the single chambers.
I'm not saying that the single chamber Flowmasters are the best flowing muffler out there. This test just proves they aren't power robbers like the 80 series cross flow, or like the myth that some people have been lead to believe.
Hey BriancWS6, can I get a picture of the single chambers under your car? I have the Texas Speed duals on mine, and I just want to check yours out. Im thinking of switching out the bullets for either some single or 2 chmabers, since the case sizes are both 4". The bullets I have are also a 4" case, but im just concerned that the square front edge of the flows wont take speed bumps as easily as the bullet shape of the bullets. I dont want the edge to get caught on something and rip them off haha.

Flowmaster single chambers are single-in/single-out mufflers. They're used for true dual applications.
Technically, you could make a single outlet y-pipe setup with them, but it would probably be really raspy.

that was my post haha. but your right, i've never actually tested my single chambers and compared those numbers to other mufflers, but i would assume that a flow-thru muffler would be much less restrictive than a flowmaster. and i also wasnt saying that single chambers in a TD setup sacrifice a huge amount of power, just not as much as OTHER mufflers.

If you think about the results, it's pretty good. No mufflers at all are only good for 2rwhp/0rwtq over the single chambers. So straight through mufflers AREN'T "much less" restrictive, than these. And this isn't a bolt-on car, it's a full weight heads/cam car that traps 122 on motor.

Yeah I figured I would just cut my bullets out, then add some piping before the flows so that they sit back where they will hit the muffler hangers in the tsp kit.

All those baffles??? 1 chambers have nothing but a 3 small V shaped pieces in the center of the case. that is it. I can reach my hand into the inlet and outlet and touch my fingers together.
there is a cutaway on the flowmaster website here..

I've not seen folks knock the 1 chamber Flows. But the other stuff, 80 series, etc, even the 40 series (which I used to love) can be restrictive. I know some of the first LS1 guys that ran the 1 chamber Flows and they ran very good.
