Think ALL Flowmaster mufflers lose power? Think again...
I rented some dyno time for a few tests today, one was to see how much power my single chamber flowmasters were robbing me. So I did a baseline with them on, then yanked em off for the next pull. The results were shocking to say the least! With no mufflers on my true duals and x-pipe setup, it picked up only 2rwhp, and the torque remained the same! So much for worrying about losing power to sound good

^ I agree, because its impossible for those 1 chambers you have to not flow well. You said it yourself you gained 2rwhp, not a big difference there. I guess the comparison would be if you compared i guess the flowmaster catback to the borla or magnaflow catback. But then again im assuming, i could be wrong.

Guys, I know that the 80 series is what sucks. Even so, I've read where people think that the single chambers still rob a decent amount of power vs a straight through style muffler. This test shows a loss of only 2rwhp and NO torque, which I think is pretty good.

^We need a back to back dyno comparison with that setup and we'll see. I don't think it's gonna be near the loss that people make it out to be. I could be wrong though.

People can say ANYTHING. Some people are, plain and simple, anti-Flowmaster and will say ANYTHING to degrade their name. They'll come on here spewing "I lost 20 rwhp due to the single chambers." They can say whatever they want
Single chambers FMTFW! I can't wait to go TD's and get 'em.

Hey BriancWS6, can I get a picture of the single chambers under your car? I have the Texas Speed duals on mine, and I just want to check yours out. Im thinking of switching out the bullets for either some single or 2 chmabers, since the case sizes are both 4". The bullets I have are also a 4" case, but im just concerned that the square front edge of the flows wont take speed bumps as easily as the bullet shape of the bullets. I dont want the edge to get caught on something and rip them off haha.

ya i think flows kick ***. i have had 40 and 50 series mufflers on all dual systems and i love them. sound real nice, and **** who cares about 2rwhp? The flowmaster 80 series muffler is a piece of **** period. i have had 2 of them and they sound like crap without cats, and flow like crap. That one muffler makes people think all there products are junk. Its a shame people have to be that way because if flowmaster really sucked that much ***, then y have they been around for so long?
