Yeah it is an overkill setup. Which is why it is no longer on the car.

Its strange you mention that... i have Hooker headers and i have had both cat back systems...

and the results are:

Hooker/Magnaflow 392 rwhp / 381 trq
Hooker/Flowmaster 383 rwhp / 370 trq

Both of these tests were on the same dyno and roughly the same type of weater +/- 1-2 degrees

but 1-2 degress are not gonna make that kind of hp/trq difference...

Dyno variance and difference in the tune will, though. No two cars will react exactly the same to the same mods.

My LT's/Magnaflow 59959's/open cutout was loud for 2 days. I was as giddy as a schoolgirl driving my car home from the shop after the install. Now, I wish it were even louder.

It's never loud enough

id like see a dyno comparison of a cat back with 2 flowmaster mufflers vs. cutout.

from what ive seen, the bigger diameter flowmasters dont flow that much more than a 2.5" muffler. using 2 would increase flow over using a single 3.5" or 4" flowmaster

Quick Reply: Think ALL Flowmaster mufflers lose power? Think again...
