Well, considering that the box for the XS headers says "SSAutochrome" on it, yeah, I'd say they're the same. So it seems like we pay a premium to buy these headers from an LS1tech sponsor.

How so? Other than the absence of the smog fittings, they look identical.

different welds, collectors to be totally different form each other, maybe its just me but it does not look the same, you have to remember the concept is based off of other brand name headers such as hooker and jet hot, so they will probably look somewhat the same, you would have to put one up to the other, ya know?

I would like to hear the sponsors response to this. I see the same header, but I am open minded to the fact that its 1 design shared by many companies. The design doesnt mean its of great quality, the materials will make or break them.

And they even say "XS headers" on the sale page. The driver side collector has the same angle, maybe worse tho.

Nice try to make up stories.. Did you not see the emission fittings? Guess what.. they havent made those in a long time and are trying to sell their left overs. Hell, I dont think you can even order those anymore.

Gets yours facts straight before you open your pie hole. He doesnt make hardly squat on them. Talk to Kooks or QTP if you want major profit. Heres some logic, All headers are made the same way.. how come these can be sold for 1/2 of the otrhers and use a much BETTER grade of stainless.

Also, I want your PROOF that they are made in China. I heard it from the horses mouth, you?

From what I remember, there were countless threads called, "Ebay Headers" that would get deleted or locked up. These "Ebay Headers" were called XS Stainless Headers by a company on eBay with the name SSAutoChrome.com. They quit selling XS Stainless Headers on eBay and have their own site to order from. A few months later, Black2002WS6 and I were getting into a few fights about selling these headers for 450. He never denied it in his link and kept referring to them as the Race Style Headers. Lemme look for the link.

You'll have to excuse Country Boy. He is the father/son of Black2002WS6, (I think), so they'll back up anything they'll say.

So, it is true? Jus' looking at your quote, you don't deny it. You simply say, "What's your point?" So I could in fact purchase these for 299 elsewhere? Then, that's what I'll do. The reason why I fought with you guys so many times is because you are taking an item that is sold for price A and adding your profit to it. That sounds shady.

Again, in a nutshell: THESE HEADERS ARE SOLD FOR 299.99 BUT YOU CHARGE US 450 FOR THEM?!?!?!?! THE SAME ONES?!?!?!?

Are you literally retarded? Seriously... did you not read post #67? The $299 headers are the EMISSION headers that they do NOT make anymore. The only reason the were at $299 at one time was to get rid of them. Try to order them... bet you get nothing. Thats a really old page.

I guess its pretty obvious when they get a SSAutochrome box with headers in it isnt it.. My Dad has the exclusive rights to sell them now. Thats why they are now LPP headers. They wont even sell them. He doesnt even make $50 profit.. so simple math is.. what he pays for them. Why dont you bitch to a few of the other companies that make $500+ profit for headers.

I think people already know who I am so thanks for stating the obvious again. This is for you!

Heres something else to ponder.. ever wonder why SBC headers are sold at $99 all day long and the cheapest LSx set is $400? Same process, no more material.... things that make you go hummm....

The current Ebay headers are listed as T304 stainless and the original XS headers are T321 stainless so they aren't the same in that aspect. Someone may have paid SSAutochrome to make them a run of emission's headers in T304. They look like the same flanges and weld quality so they probably aren't a bad buy. I did notice the Ebay ones have some pricey shipping attached to them so don't be fooled by the price alone.

Well the answer is obvious. Because they buy their product in bulk, your dad does not. That is a very simple answer. And Im going out on a limb, but your dad Im sure makes more than $50 on them. He wont tell us, because then we will all know what he pays. So for you to even say how much he makes is a stupid business move. And the material aspect, most of the people dont care, nor will they ever appreciate the better material. And for a company to charge more because they DONT have fittings is pretty stupid if you ask me, but hey **** happens. Personally when the collector problem gets fixed, I will most likely buy a set.

Im not biased to either side, just want to find out if they are the same.

I do know what he makes and Im right in line. Like I said in a different thread, this is not his job. He does this in his spare time. We both have day jobs (in construction). He wanted to offer parts to the LSx community for the right price. hes seen how many thousands Ive blown on overpriced parts for my old SS just because they are for a LS1.

Yea, you've been saying that for the longest time. "They are trying to get rid of them. That's why they are so cheap." SSAutoChrome has always sold them for 299.99 plus around 35 bux for shipping. That is the norm.

Plus, wouldn't emission's cost more than "your" race-style headers?

He makes only 50 bux on the headers huh? I hope your pop's doesn't run a free shipping sale or he'll actually lose money.
