Default Does the vic JR perform better than a LS6 intake

Will a vic JR intake flow better and out perform a LS6 intake? I tried the search but nothing for this came up for me.. I am going to be boosted on this application. The engine itself is stock for now. Thanks guys

From what I hear its right on par with the Fast 90 but its a pain in that *** to run. You have to lose a winshield wiper and trim the cowl, etc. Punch line is its not worth it. Or at least that's the impression I get. Good luck.

No ****! I have to take a wiper off? That sucks. I wonder if there is a way to make it work with the wipers. I might go ahead and get it and see about making a wiper rod to work. Thanks for the info

You will have to trim some of the wiper cowl, just where the elbow comes up,some cars you do,some you dont, just depends on how lucky you get! These intakes are suppose to really shine on boosted cars! From what i have heard!

This new elbow from Edelbrock looks like it has more clearance than other elbows but it is probably a tradeoff with flow numbers. Looks nice anyway.

Your setup looks great.

I used the search and found this thread:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...56#post8198221

So you ran an LS6 intake and got 430rwhp 450rwtq. Had to downgrade to a LS1 intake and got about 380rwhp. Now all we need is some dyno numbers on that Vic Jr you just put on (no nitrous for even comparison).

Not true. I have the Nitro Dave elbow on mine and it fits fine with the wipers and cowl. This intake is supposed to be for larger cube motors or boosted applications.

Yea, the down grade (after blowing a hole in the LS6) cost me some serious HP, but I also had a 300rwhp tune in it with 14° of timing. One of the reasons for going Vic Jr was to contain any N2O backfire (don't want to burn my car down). Anyway, I have mondo torque from the get go, how many have bigger tq than hp, so losing a little will not hurt at all. Also, I have untouched LS6 heads and have already gone over 600hp/685tq, looking for 800 with the Vic and DP Dry. But yes, we will see what kind of n/a numbers we produce. Heads might be sooner than later, lol.

Well that's good **** then. That's just what I had heard from others on here. I think the debate was actually the Vic vs. Fast 90 and I heard a couple people say that so that's why I got that impression.
