Would you happen to have the GM part # for the front and rear coolant lines. I did a manual search on gmpartsdirect.com but could not find the lines.

It does not appear that there would be much strength lost from grinding away those ribs on the bottom of the intake but I do have a question. If I were to get a Fast 78 or 90 intake or an intake from any other manufacturer instead of an LS6 intake, would the factory LS1 cooling lines pose a problem just the same and need to be swapped? I have never actually laid hands on a FAST.

not to change the subject but im sure some LS1-LS6 swap guys will come across this. Now that the EGR will be deleted, would we get the newer 00-02 headers that some places sell? (i.e. pacesetter LT's)

I mean, when we put the LS6 manifold on our cars, we're gonna have to block off the EGR on the headers too right?

Yes. When I do my intake swap I will be doing race style headers at the same time. Otherwise get the block-off plates for your emissions friendly headers.

I just started my intake install today, kinda a pain in the ***, i decided to grind the tabs off the bottom, which is taking quite a while, but im impatient and cheap so i dont feel like buying the lines, but I grinded the wrong side at first and i can tell you that It WILL NOT fit without grinding. I also upgraded to 28lb injectors over my 26's for a little extra feul to help me sleep at night when i hit the nitrous. Also, i was yanking pretty hard and still didnt manage to break the oil pressure sensor, (although i probably jynx'd myself now, lol). Im hoping to have it done tomorrow or the day after so i can see if i feel a difference, boltons feel slow to me now =[

Because some 98's had bad sensors that would falsely read knock and retard timing when it wasn't needed.
