Default Exhaust set up, SPL loudmouth II??

Well i went on slp online store and they wave the exhausts System are on sale for $389 LoudMouth I and II....

But the resornator loudmouth I alone is on sale for $69 and the muffler for loudmouth-II alone is $92.
there the same as from the exhaust packages right?

So i don't like having muffler tips plus ill save $100s if i just buy the muffler alone and have a shop make a the exhaust system to end right before the axle...

I'm wondering if it will sound about the same as if i were just to buy the whole SLP system?? will there be any problems.
and which sound better loudmouth I or II

the LM1 is super loud, raspy and is painfully annoying.

I've lived with it for 4 years as well on both of my cars. Both my cars have cats, and are over axle.

x2. Loud mouth doesnt sound that great. But if youre looking for just loud while still havning a "muffler" than go with that. Loud mouth 2 sounds better IMO.

I have LM1 with !cats stock manifolds and Y, sounds fricken awesome. Less rasp than stock exhaust and the slowmaster I had on after it. I wasn't sure I would like it because it sounded like **** on my buddies 03 cobra and just hurt my ears, but I love it on my car.

LM1 is my favorite.....I have had it on several different cars and would not want another CB, unless I had no cats, then it would be too loud!

i think it's hilarious how many people on this forum say that the LM1 sound like ***, and yet of all the years i've had it on my car, i haven't had one person say it sounds bad. i've always gotten nothing but compliments (except for the local townies haha)

yeah it should sound good with cats im just wondering if it wil be louder or raspier with half the piping of the original exhaust system and ending on a 3 inch pipe.
What about LM2 is it better flowing? and less rasp?
