Stock 3 pin Maf Pigtail part number needed
Just wondering if anybody can give me the part number for the stock ls1 fbody maf harness. I just bought a stock maf but the pigtail harness i have right now is a 5 pin (cuz i had a z06 maf), and obviously i cant use that to connect to the 98 stocker maf, because its a 3 pin. So if anybody knows the part number for a stock 98 maf 3 pin harness, let me know! thanks.

thanks, but looking at the pic of the pigtail, it seems as though i will have to cut wires and splice to connect them. And it seems that the part from that website is just one end of what i need. im looking for the complete harness that has both ends for the connections, so basically the stock pigtail harness. but if for some reason, i saw the pics wrong or if you know that its the real pigtail with both end connections, let me know.

doesn't make sense???? shouldn't need an adapter if your putting a stock maf on the car. Now I had to use an adapter when I put an 03 maf on my 99 Vette. 97-00 had a 3-pin and 01-04 had the 5-pin.
what yr. are you working with?

98 camaro. I have a z06 maf right now, which means the end of the harness has a 5pin to enter into the z06 maf (which has a 5 pin entrance). I NOW bought a stock 98 maf, so that z06 harness, which has 5 pins, cannot enter the stock Maf, which only has 3 pins!!! So i need a 98 stock maf connection harness

no, no splicing done, lol. man, this is more difficult to describe than i thought it would be. all i know is that i need the harness that ends with a 3 pin entrance at the end, to enter into the 3 pins off of the stock 98 maf. right now, the harness has a 5 pin entrance (becuase its a z06 harness). so if you try to connect that 5 pin entrance harness, into the 3 pins off the stock 98 maf, they would just keep on butting and never connect. they wont connect, because the maf that i did have on there, was a z06 maf that has 5 pins. but now i want to use my 98 stock maf, so i need a 98 stock maf harness connection

All you need to do is get a stock 3 prong pigtail and follow the color coated wires. The other 2 are air intake temp. before eliminating those make sure they are not necessary. on the ls1's the iat sensor is plugged in on the lid on the driver side.

well someone had to splice a five wire pigtail on your car cause it was oraginally equiped with a 3 wire. they dont make a 5 wire to a 3 wire harness they just sell the 3 wire pigtail.

okay.... im a freaking idiot! lol. all i had to do is disconnect the 3 pin to 5 pin outlet harness, and do a direct connect to the stock maf. I guess that harness was actualy an adapter, and once that adapter harness was taken out of the equation, the connection left entered the stocker like it should....... damn, i was getting frustrated! thanks for all the help still.
