Default 4" exhaust throught the back

Well to start off, I want to tell people about my new setup so that people understand more about exhaust and suspension. I first bought the s@w race car suspension that has subframe connectors and a cross brace that mounts to the torque arm insteed of the tranni. However, the kit only bolts to a ten bolt and no exhaust kit out there will work after the headers due to the cross brace. My fabricator has built a new bracket for the torque arm to fit any rear end and fixed the cross brace to except a bad *** 3" y pipe that flows better than any other and y's to 4" exhaust all the way to the back of the car. This new exhaust in my opinion changed my mind about any exhaust out there. If people have ever run into the problems I have, let me know if you want more info. As soon as I get pics and sound clip, I will post them. If anyone has 4" exhaust, please post so I can see. Also, if people are interested, he can build the kits for you.

I checked mufflex out and they are nice products. However, the catback system is actually a kit that connects to a y pipe and their y pipe is nice but is built like everyone elses. For the money though, I think the mufflex is a bad *** kit. I dont know how it fits though, with clearence issues.

I know a cobra owner with straight 5" pipes, talk about annoying.

But only know trucks that run that large of piping, you running a big cube or boost

And they use the flowmaster merge which is one of the best ones out there.

I saw the 4" mufflex on a thirdgen about 5 years ago. Didnt seem to have any issues with it. It didnt have any tips though just a turn down facing the driver side out the muffler in the regular position.

3.5" and 4" systems have been out for years for 4th gens, it's nothing new.

Here's my custom Mufflex exhaust; 3" y-pipe to a 3.5" carback.

grifter, looks good. as far as the flowmaster merge, nothing will fit the s@w suspension. i know the 4" has been around but i have never heard of someone fitting it through the s@w suspension. if you dont have a full cross brace, any exhaust will fit. also, no boost and stock cubes, but plans for both soon.

My exhaust doesn't use a Flowmaster merge, infact the one Mufflex used on my car was one they just started using. Very small, I believe ARH uses the same one, atleast it looks identical.

I am not familar with S&W's suspension, but I would imagine that it would difficult to have any off the shelf exhaust fit. But any reputable exhaust should be able to get it done.

I've got a 3.5" over the axle and it is tight, I have to believe a 4" may require the panhard relocation kit.

correct, we had to make a bracket that runs the panhard bar parralel to the rear end so that it would fit.
