i don't really know of any step by step but when i did mine i had to remove the plugs, starter, alternator and a few other things. it isn't fun. if you have a lift i reccomend using it otherwise it will be difficult. it's a tight fit. it also depends on what kind you get. mine are slp lontube

Pretty easy and straightforward. pull the plugs and jack the car about 4 feet in the air.

you dont need to have it 4 feet in the air. i used a floor jack as high as it would go which is probably 2 feet and had no problems.

and to answer your question. its really straight forward. pull the old stuff of and put them new stuff on

http://camarossworld.com/Technical/exhaust.asp

many different instruction guides

Unplug the battery, have the AIR and EGR fittings if necessary. Take off the coil packs. Take off plugs and wires (replace with fresh ones at the end). Take off all the old manifold/exhaust/y-pipe, save the cats and sell them. PB blaster helps break the old bolts loose. Use some kind engine assembly lube on the header bolts. Bolt up the headers, fresh plugs, fresh wires, coil packs on, battery connected.

I'm pretty sure this is exactly what I did. I had the front jacked up.

i jacked the front and rear and put them as high as i could on jackstands and shoved ramps under the front tires just to be safe. i unbolted the blaster packs except for the far back bolt because i couldnt get to it and layed them to the side but in retrospect, i wish i would have completely removed them, it'd make it a ton easier. then remove the plugs/wires, unbolted the starter, but let it hang from the wires and rest on a bucket. while your down there, unplug the O2 sensors. remove the dipstick by unbolting it and pulling it out. then unbolt the manifolds from the exhaust, then unbolted the manifolds from the heads. put your new plugs in. after that, slide the headers in from the bottom and have somebody hold them up from the bottom and start bolting them up. take your time and make sure not to crossthread them. then just start bolting everything back up. if all i was doing was the headers, i could have finished in a day but i did motor mounts as well and had some complications with them so it took 2. take your time and its pretty straight forward. also, PB blaster is your friend. soak manifold to head bolts, and manifold to exhaust bolts and it'll help you out a lot. and when you reinstall the dipstick, have one person under the car lining it up and the other pushing it down, from the top. hope it helps!

take off the coils, remove plugs, remove air and egr, remove y-pipe, take out the two bolts holding the starter (just let it hang or rest on something), then pop off the old pos manifolds.

on the 01-02's it's like impossible to remove the coil packs cause it's just one big unit, not several individual ones. the best you can really do is get the front bolts off and then angle the off as much as you can with the rear bolt on. that's the best i could get when i changed my plugs, and i STILL scraped the **** outta my hands. i dont know how the heck anyone can get the back bolt off. i even used a swivel extension on the ratchet and still no luck. these cars are a pita to work on.
