Default T/D over the axle v. dumped

Hey yall,
Before my H/C and 9" I had TD out the back. However, do to the 9" install the shop had to cut the over the axle portion and dump them. I could have the bends redone to go over the axle again, but at a cost of $250. I can't decide but am leaning towards going with them out the back again to avoid cabin noise. What are your thoughts?

I drive my car a lot, and I got tired of the dumped spiralflows and the resonance. I ended up going under the axle and changing the mufflers.

For mine, I went over the axle since at the time my car was daily driven. I have never had an issue with cabin noise, smell, or anything else of the sort. Plus, it is illegal in most (if not all) states to dump your exhaust under the passenger cabin, and my car attracts enough bad attention from the police as it sits.

If you have the money, my vote is to do it right and run it out the back. If you are one to cheap out on ****, dump it.

What is needed to do duals under the axle? Is the ground clarence a huge issue doing it that way rather then over?

I think dumped exhaust looks nasty (kinda redneck IMO), the turndowns lower ground clearance, it vibrates the crap out of your head and it's illegal. IMO, run it out the back. It looks better, it's much quieter in cabin, it's legal that way so you'll have less trouble with the law and you don't have to worry about turndowns scraping over bumps. IMO, run it out the back or don't bother. You're spending good money on a nice exhaust setup. Why half-*** it and dump it? Too many people on this site start out looking for a nice setup and then cut and run in the end to save a quick buck.

Did you ever think that some people actually prefer it dumped. To say their cheap is an opinion. Most people with cars like this won't be cutting corners if they want a quality job. I had plenty of money to do a full exhaust, but seeing a dumped setup made me change my mind. Mine's dumped before the axle and I love it. The rattle really is not bad and it's not that loud in the cabin. The vibration from the exhaust makes it feel pretty mean. Mine looks exactly like SlmdLs1's setup. Only problem is ground clearance, but as long as you go over speed bumps slow and don't go off road you'll be fine.

You aren't exactly painting a great picture for why ANYONE would want to do a dumped setup after this post. You love it, but it rattles (but really is not bad), and it isn't THAT loud in the cabin? Vibration to boot? Ground clearance sucks?
