Default ARH LTs Installed--Pics inside

Copy and paste from my post on another board..

Got the LTs and the LS6 Intake installation complete tonight. Actually got the LTs in last night..took about 4-4.5hrs and a 12 pack of tallboys. Alot of cussing, cut up hands and fingers, and a sore back later, they're in. Finished up the LS6 intake install tonight....took almost as long as the headers did (3hrs). As soon as my block off plates get here, I can fire it up. I wanna than Young at Byunspeed, Daniel at (not a sponsor here), and Lawnboy on LS1tech for all the help and service. I HIGHLY recommend dealing with the two companies...great service.

I also would highly recommend these headers to everyone. Absolutely NO problems with the install. Slid in like butter...I'm kind of scared that it was so easy...something has to go wrong. With all the horror stories and 8+hour installs I hear about, I couldn't believe it was this easy. The headers tuck up GREAT too.. I lost absolutely NO ground clearance, and maybe even gained some. There's only one spot that might bang around and that's where the Y pipe clamps to the I-Pipe. It's pretty close to the torque arm. However, it's nothing a piece of heater hose won't fix. Here are a couple of pics...once again, I'll link to my photobucket at the end.

Here's the only tight spot I mentioned previously..

Looks awesome man. My ARH should be here tomorrow, so I have this install to look forward to myself. Good to know that it is possible to knock out in about 4 hours or so. All of the 8+ hours estimates were making me doubt whether I could handle the job on my own or not.

Yeah, I swapped from stock manifolds. And this was my first ever header install. Also, I got the headers w/ provisions just in case WV decides to go all emissions-**** someday and I have to hook all that crap back up. Though I've never installed headers on my own before, I have been around several sets belonging to my friends. These are heads above the rest in quality. The merge collector, the y-pipe, the welds....EXCELLENT. I've already talked several friends into purchasing them.

With the ARH LTs, you get gaskets and O2 extensions. I used my stock gaskets instead of the ARH gaskets. As far as 02Sims, I just stuck my O2 sensors back in instead. It's a catted Y-pipe so it might work ok. I drove the car about 20miles tonight and WOW....what a difference. GREAT sound too! The Check Engine light did come on, but likely just because I added an LS6 intake and deleted AIR and EGR. I'm either buying EFI Live soon, or going to get a tune anyway, so I'll just have the rear O2's deleted at that time no matter what. I also reused my stock header bolts. For plugs, I used Delco Iridiums and for wires MSDs. I can assure you that you will NOT be disappointed if you go ARH. I'm never been so pleased to give someone over $1000 in my life LOL

I think this is the first post I've seen where there was a fitment issue (small as it is) with ARH. I wouldn't complain though as they look awesome everywhere else.

Congrats'!!!

How about some vids? SURE...everyone loves vids lol.

Excuse the shakey camera in the driving clip...hard to shift, keep it between the lines, and film at the same time (don't try that at home)

This one's just a sound clip...

Crappy driving vid, but gives you an idea of the sound..

I love it
