Take all the original cables out (including the box by the battery) and buy a new non-tcs throttle cable. Hook the new cable to your pedal and directly to the TB and you are done.

Supposedly the only thing you have to do is buy the non tcs throttle cable and connect it from your pedal to the throttle body. I've wanted to do this for a while but have never received a definate answer.

yeah what they said!!

also when you do it, take out the tcs/cc box its next to the air pump, its about 8"x5" box.

follow the one cable from the cc box (next to the battery) to the tcs/cc box like i said above. there 4s bolts holding it in if i remember correctly and weighs about 5lbs

hope that helps

you need to get a new CC cable or unit too, unless you dont want cruise anymore.

So in all reality you just need the new throttle cable and the new CC cable?

Is there any benefit to this besides not having to shut it off and a slightly cleaner engine bay? Is there more of a delay in the throttle with the TCS or any performance difference. Mine says ASR on my 2000, but Im assuming its the same.

so all you need is the CC cable and throttle cable from a non-tcs car to loose tcs and retain cc? also, when i order a rear-end, now would i get the 3-channel?

Is there any wiring involved? will the TCS Off light stay on in the cluster?

I'm assuming after you remove it, you can convert the rear to 3 channel also?
