LT Install Help I plan to install my LT Headers this weekend and was looking for any ideas/suggestions from anyone that is a veteran.. I had my car on ramps and I don't think the car is high enough to bring the LT's in from the bottom. The easiest way would be to use a lift, but finding someone to lend you a lift is like trying to get oil from a water spout!!
What, if any, can a person use to get the car high enough (without a lift) to do the install?? Thanks for the help in advance!!

I have installed Pacesetter Longtubes 3 times. I have not yet had to lift one side of a motor, or disconnect the steering. I have also done them without grinding the tab on the drivers side of the block (it becomes obvious). I think alot depends on brand, and if they are non-EGR or not.
Just get the coil packs out of the way on the passenger side, pop out the dipstick tube, and go to town. (Make sure to disconnect the Battery since you are around the starter.

my driver side would not come out bc it would hit the ground. i threw some 2X4s together and put them under the jack until i could get the car high enough, it was too high for me to be comfortable. they almost had to come straight down. and yes the steering intermediate shaft had to be removed.

-Soak all the bolts in Wd40 a few days before you plan to install the headers to loosen up all the bolts.
-Find the biggest jack stands you can get. I used jackstand for suv's and it was high enough for my headers to slide in without needing blocks or anything like that.
-Remove the coil packs for more clearance to spark plugs and header bolts
-Now is a good time to change spark plugs and motor mounts while you are in there.

took me about 8 hours with jackstands in the driveway.
if youve got any friends with small hands, have them help out and buy them a beer. i ended up with at least 50 knicks and scratches on my hands and forearms unbolting the stock manifolds and bolting up the lts.

I can't thank everyone enough for the responses. It took me so long to respond since I spent all weekend installing. You all are right, ramps did the trick and I used a bottle jack for about 3 minutes to raise the passenger side slightly for the longest one. After that, they flew in there. My biggest pain was the spark plugs. I sure am glad I bought new ones before I started. Kudos to you all and Pacesetters!! 
Now gotta tune that thing and get her runnin good again. I can already tell she's gonna be mean!!!
