Default Will 99 C5 waterpump fit 99 Z28?

Like the subject says. I searched and found nothing. I know some accessories can swap. The pulley looks the same.

Update - just installed it tonight due to my stocker leaking. They are the same pump, however the belt wears on a different area of the pulley. Don't know why. Bout a 1/2" difference.

See if your idler pulley backed out. Mine did that after the cam swap and made the belt do the exact same thing.

I haven't installed the belt or started the car yet, still a few loose ends. But looking from the pass side of the engine bay you can clearly see where the pulleys line up, and the wear on the used Vette WP pulley is 1/2" closer to the housing than my stocker.

The vettes balancer and other accessory pulleys are closer to the engine block than the f-body, the water pump pulley uses the smooth backside of the belt though, so GM made more of a universal style pulley that can accomodate the belt over a broader range of spots. What you're seeing is normal.

It must. Installed everything and started it up last night. Aside from the open headers everything seems normal

I'm running a LS6 Pump, and the Belt rides on the end portion of the Pulley..not close to the Housing like the Vette.

The Vette pulley system is the close set to the block. The F-Body is about 3/4" outward from the Vette setup and the truck setup is another 3/4" out past the F-body.

So... Yes and No... the pump will bolt up to your Gen III engine no problem.. But the pulley on the front of the pump will not align up with the rest of your accessories unless you replace the pulley.

^^I don't know about that. The LS1 Vette stuff is different from the LS2..

I'm using a Water Pump that came from a LS6, and it works without a problem.

Here is a pic of a LS6..
