Default Fast Toys Ram Air or Super Sucker Ram Air

Which one is better, which one should I buy? The super sucker is made by LM performance and sets below your front bumper as opposed to right in front of your radiator check it out here:
http://www.lmperformance.com/1858/1.html
Does this provide any additional benefits over the other Fast toys?

ssra is made like a piece of ****. If you stare at it too hard it will crack. The ftra is a PROVEN mod that works.

The first ones were subject to cracking at the seams. They are now plastic welded and extremely strong. For people who had problems with the original SSRA, I asked them to ship them back to me so I could repair them. This offer still stands. I have yet to have any of the new ones come back to me.

WhitePhoenix, the Super Sucker is made by Austin Performance Inc. LM Performance, Speed Inc, and Cartek sell these for me.

ps. Why do you think 00Z is selling his FTRA?

I'd go with the Super Sucker.

It doesn't block the radiator and it's more of a ram-air effect.

Did you send yours back, or who ever you knew that had one? How is the new one?

SSRA is better. It will give you more of a ram air affect and draws it's air from outside the engine bay. To me there is no comparison. SSRA wins in my book and I have had zero problems with it.

Before I bought mine I started a thread asking which one I should get and the numbers where something like twelve for SSRA and maybe two for FTRA.

What does that tell you?

It tells us nothing. It is still a piece of plastic easy to crack ****.The only people to defend it are the guys who are trying to justify spending there hard earned cash on such a flimsy system. Why not use a flexible or hard to snap plastic??? Well Mr. Austin? What's the difference, 10 cents less profit? Get real, it is a piece of ****, plain and simple. The idea is good, granted, the fitment is good, the material used is junk. Send it back and I will glue it for you!!!!!!!!! What a sport you are!!! How about using better plastic ??

unstable Vic please take a deep breath and calm down. I believe you (or someone you know) had a SSRA that cracked but I doubt it's cracking was personal. Mine has not cracked and I doubt it ever will. The plastic seemed strong and yet flexable. I believe that they may have improved the material and craftsmanship since they first came out with them because mine is anything but a PoS.

I love mine and don't need to justify spending my money to you or anyone else. It's a great mod for the price and I am by far not the only one who thinks so. What the numbers for SSRA in my thread tell me is that the SSRA is a product that a majority of owners are pleased with.

chalk me up as a happy customer. Mine works great and is of quality construction. I am not knocking FTRA. I have heard a lot of good things about it and I have no doubt that it works. But I went with SSRA because it does not cover the radiator and cause the engine to run hotter at non-moving idle and it rams the air better. Plus it was overwelmingly recommended to me by 12 to 2.

I'm glad I went with the twelve.

Vic, there has never been a problem with these cracking in the middle or anywhere other than the seam. In fact they have never cracked or "snapped". What happened with the old ones is the would SEPERATE at the seams. This was due to how they were put together with ABS cement at the manufacturer. Since they are now plastic welded at the seams this is no longer an issue. The durometer of the plastic is soft enough where cracking is not an issue. Period. I never said I would reglue them. I said I would plastic weld any sent back to me.
Vic, I remember you. You ordered one of my original aluminum SSRA's. You didn't want it because it didn't fit or something??????. I said no problem, send it back and I'll return your money. I got it back from you after I had already sent you your money. It was mangled. You were very nice then, what's your problem now?

**EDITED** No more personal attacks!!
