ram air isnt going to help me none ive aready cut the bottem of the air box out and its set up to pull air infront of the radiator so its not hot, plus how do u put ram air on a camaro with out the hood? the ls1 has factory tunnel ram. and i know unless you have a hood hows you all getting the air to push in so hard? i know a trans am kit takes the air from the nostrles of the ram air but how do u do it with a z or ss? other than that all i can see is the kit helps the stock tunnel ram flow better

The FTRA routes air from underneath the vehicle off of the lower air deflector. 98 & Up Camaro and Firebirds are designed to bring air into the rad from under the vehicle so it is a very high pressure spot. The FTRA takes advantage of this. The factory hoods do a very poor job as they are not sealed to the intake and contain baffles and drain holes. That does not allow any pressure to be built.

like im saying theres no doubt it helps, never said it dident. but ive got a few friends around here that have put functional ram air on there cars and used to have a lid and said that they dident notice much at all. the lid was the way i went cause its cheapest and easy to install, car runs strong with it and im happy.
